Over the years, Lloyd’s of London became a major insurance underwriters and in the early 1980’s commissioned a new building at One Lime Street, designed by the Richard Rogers Partnership. This virtual tour shows a view of the building from Lime Street, EC3.

Dec 04, 2019 · The first Lloyd’s building (address 12 Leadenhall Street) had been built on this site in 1928. In 1958, due to expansion of the market, a new building was constructed across the road at 51 Lime Street (now the site of the Willis Building). Lloyd’s now occupied the Heysham Building and the Cooper Building. By the 1970s Lloyd’s had again The market began in Lloyd's Coffee House, owned by Edward Lloyd, sometime in 1686 on Tower Street in the City of London.
